Support the Troops with Halloween Stash for Cash!
A few days after Halloween, when the decorations are down, the costumes are stored away and the kids are on sugar overload - you can prevent further candy consumption by finding another use for the mass of leftover candy:
Dr. Dhaliwal's HALLOWEEN STASH FOR CASH event!
Bring the kids - in costume or not - and the leftover candy to our office and we will give each child $1 per pound of candy turned in. Even better, we will partner with Operation Gratitude (www.operationgratitude.com ) to send it in care packages to our troops overseas. This is a wonderful way to get the kids involved in charity work while we minimize the sugar intake and the potential for cavities it leaves behind!
It's easy to follow these simple guidelines:
- The child that collected the candy must turn it in
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- There is a 5 pound maximum per child
- Candy must be wrapped and unopened
So, what are you waiting for? Dust off your Halloween costumes, pick up your leftover candy bags and head over to Dr. Dhaliwal's office! It will put a smile on your child's face and that of a soldier as well!
